Graduate School Prep. Program

Graduate school is for those who want to investigate and research further in the specialized fields they have learned in the undergraduate period. In order to pass the examination, in some cases applicant is required to contract with professor, submit his/her research proposal and get the enrollment approval. It is also a strategic way to enroll as a foreign research student before becoming a formal graduate student.
MANABI supports our students from the selection of graduate school, the preparation of research proposal to examination, and takes them to achieve their goal.

“Qualifications”
  • JLPT N2 level or higher Japanese proficiency in April.
    (the starting time of Japanese academic year)
  • Graduated from a 4-year or 3-year university.
  • Have a distinct research topic.
  • It is also possible that at the time of admission
    to enter the level of another class firstly and enter this class from the following April.

Your research proposal is the most essential item in your preparation. Make reference to the successful experience, and try to write your own research proposal.

Contact with
Prospective Professor

After learning Japanese email manner, try to write your first email and keep contact with your prospective professor.

Visit Professor

Learn and practice thoroughly about the choice of words and manner which is taken seriously in Japanese culture, which you will find useful in your visiting.

Prepare the paper-based examination and oral-interview, and know more from the experiences.

Top Universities

Top Universities Prep. Program

Although the admission examination varies among approximately 800 universities in Japan, most universities take the result of Examination for Japanese University Admission(EJU) as their enrollment criterion.
In order to enter the national and public universities, which including the so-called top-universities, you are not only required to get a high score in the EJU in both Japanese as a foreign language and the basic subjects (Mathematics, Science, Japan and the World), but also expected to preform well in university’s own English examination and TOEIC test.
MANABI carry out courses of basic subjects and English subject that enhance your exam grades!

Set Goals and
Strengthen your Basic Skills

Attend the orientation in MANABI that holds one academic year before your formal application. Choose some schools as your tentative goal. Then, try to investigate their enrollment qualification, and design your future plan of study. Even in this early period, MANIBI carry out courses for the EJU Test and for English that can let you be confident with the following study.

Objective 300 In order to get a high score in your 1st EJU, MANABI provide a comprehensive analysis to the past question, and carry out special intensive courses.

The key to success is to know more about your objective school. College fairs starts in every July. Attend them and prepare information useful in your interview.

Thoroughly investigate the past examination questions of your objective school, and learn more about their interview from the experiencers. Don’t forget to keep practice.

Art University Prep. Program

This is the program that you can study Japanese as well as drawings and fine arts skill in order to enter to fine arts schools in Japan.
Since fine arts class is conducted by instructors of “Torin Art Preparatory School”, which is one of Japan’s famous art prep school, you can take guidance in the top level for entrance exams in Japan.
